...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON THURSDAY TO 6 AM MDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches.

* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Medicine Bow Range, the mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

* WHEN...From Noon Thursday to 6 AM MDT Friday. Heaviest snow expected Thursday from mid afternoon through the evening.

* IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for Colorado can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or by going to www.cotrip.org .

Chain and traction laws will possibly be enacted for the mountains. If traveling to the mountains, be prepared for winter driving conditions.
