Structure fire in Downtown Evergreen

EFR is on-scene of a reported structure fire in the 28000 block of Highway 74 in downtown Evergreen. Please avoid the area, updates will be posted as they become available.

#JCSO helping to close Hwy 74 in downtown Evergreen while fire crews work to put out a fire. Please avoid Hwy 74 for the next few hours. Detours are Meadows Drive and Hwy 73.

Sweetwater Boutique command reports a little smoke from the hvac unit no heat.

Fire is out, crews are in overhaul.

The investigator has arrived on scene, still waiting on XCel Energy.

Crews are in the process of clearing the scene. Water they used has created icy conditions on Hwy 74, requesting CDOT bring sand for the road. Dispatch acknowledges, will contact CDOT.
