...HEAVY SNOW POSSIBLE IN THE HIGH COUNTRY FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

.A storm system is expected to bring heavy snow to the north central
mountains of Colorado starting late Friday morning and continue
through Saturday afternoon. The heaviest snowfall is expected to
occur in the Park and Gore Ranges, the I-70 corridor will also be
affected. The combination of heavy snow and gusty winds will cause
poor visibility and difficult travel conditions. Weekend mountain
travel will be impacted.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM FRIDAY TO 5 PM MST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range, and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...From 2 PM Friday to 5 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Snow covered roads will make travel hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
