Small wildfire north of Hwy 285 and Rim Rock Rd.

Elk Creek Fire responded to a small wildland fire, approximately 1/10 acre in size, that was caused by lightning on the ridge north of Hwy 285 and Rim Rock Rd in Bailey. Firefighters have established a line around the fire and are working to the edges now.

Brush 451 has been cleared from the fire and is back in service.

The line is secure and crews are now doing mop up.

Mop up is complete, fire is contained. Crews are remaining on scene for now.

Fire is controlled, putting fire into patrol and monitor status. Crews hiking back to the truck.
