I-70 WB closed between Golden and Evergreen due to multiple crashes

And one of the CMV’s is straddling the cable rail…

The crash happened when a driver of a car lost control

The milk truck jack knifes to avoid the car

Another CMV truck hits the milk truck broadside

The rest of the cars crash into the mess once stopped

8:30 pm on 11/23 - I-70 Westbound is fully closed from Morrison to Genesee due to multiple crashes. Road conditions are very dangerous. Avoid this area and stay off the iced-over roads if possible. I-70 WB will likely be closed for the next few hours. @csp_golden is investigating.

A total of eight cars, two of which are CMV’s with ruptured saddle tanks, have WB I 70 closed

Some good news, EB I70 is open at this location

Don’t try to sneak around on US40 or CO 74 as conditions are “wintry”
