The Module may be conducting PILE BURN operations TODAY January 8th, 2024 in the area of Hwy 126 and Hwy 285 at the Preserve at Pine Meadows OR the S Elk Creek Road area near the Glenelk Community.
We will be working on only one of the above listed sites based on conditions in the morning. A test burn will start at approximately 10am, and we will update on whether we are moving forward. Some information about the projects and maps follow:
- Burning piles in the Preserve at Pine Meadows or Glenelk areas
- Projects are part of an approximately 50 acre thinning project the Module completed in 2020, and a project near the Glenelk Community as part of a ridge top thinning project completed in 2022.
- Some smoke may be seen in the Preserve at Pine Meadows, Wandcrest, and Hwy 126 areas. For Glenelk, smoke may be seen near S Elk Creek Road, the Douglas Ranch Community, and surrounding areas.
