Wildland fire at Hwy 8 and Hwy 285

There's a new wildland fire that's started by The Fort Restaurant at Hwy 8 and Hwy 285. West Metro Fire is on scene.

UPDATE: fire burned about three acres in mostly grass and oak brush, away from structures. Firefighters have it 100% contained. We are mopping up.

UPDATE: this fire was caused by a bird that was electrocuted by overhead power lines, caught on fire, and fell to the ground, where it ignited the grass and brush below.
