Jubilee Fire: Just after 12pm today (4-11-25), Elk Creek responded to a reported wildland fire. Upon arrival, crews found an approximately 1 acre fire burning in grass, brush, shrub and some trees. Shortly after arrival, fire behavior began to increase, and 15 homes in the area were evacuated. Air resources were ordered, however, crews were able to gain control of the fire and were able to cancel those air resources. The fire transitioned to mop up, and final acreage was 1.84. This fire was (inadvertently) human caused. Repopulation of evacuated homes is forthcoming. We were assisted with mutual aid from Conifer Fire, Evergreen Fire, and Platte Canyon Fire. Thank you for your assistance.

In case of emergency, please dial 911.
