Wildland Fire - Stransky Rd, Evergreen

Evergreen Fire is responding to a reported Wildland fire off Stransky Rd. Requesting additional resources to stage.

Deputies in the area report increased smoke, but do not have a visual on the fire yet.

Evergreen Fire Rescue at 7:30pm: EFR is responding to a small wildfire/smoke report above Stransky Ranch in the Brook Forest area. As of 7:25 pm there is no perceived threat to the community. Watch EFR’s and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office social media platforms for updates if conditions change.

EFR 7:51pm: Firefighters continue trying to pinpoint the smoke’s location. They also are utilizing a drone to find the location.

Calling the fire Unable To Locate (UTL), no eyes on smoke and it’s getting too late to continue searching safely. They’re releasing resources, and will see if it flares back up in the morning after laying down this evening.

EFR 8:23pm: Final Update — As temps cool for the evening, relative humidity increases and may have extinguished the hot spot. Firefighters & deputies lost visual on the smoke. Neighborhood firefighters will watch the area overnight.
