#WhiteHawkFire: Wildland Fire located near Shiloh and White Hawk Trail in Conifer, about 1 acre in size, fire behavior - creeping with isolated torching. Elk Creek Fire and Conifer Fire are on scene.
Firefighters have laid hose and are charging the line to get water on the fire. There’s a helicopter working the fire as well, and additional personnel requested.
Firefighters are engaged in direct suppression of the fire with water. They’re planning to set up portable ponds for additional personnel.
Per Jeffco Sheriff 13m ago: #WhiteHawkFire burning on a mountainside approx 1/2 mile north of the North Fork of the South Platte River, and a 1/4 west of Foxton Rd. It is burning in a remote area. No evacuations at this time. @ElkCreekFire has ordered the @dcsheriff helicopter. #COFire
Update 30s ago: Douglas County Sheriff's Office helicopter has arrived and dropping water on the #WhiteHawkFire. Fire is approx 3/4 of an acre. #COFire @dcsheriff

Jeffco Sheriff: Douglas County Sheriff's Office helicopter dropped off members of their helitack team on the side of the mountain for direct attack. In addition to JCSO, Elk Creek Fire Department, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Conifer FD, Jeffco Open Space, CO are working together to extinguish the fire.
Jeffco Sheriff: Elk Creek Fire is the lead agency for the #WhiteHawkFire. Erratic winds have calmed at the moment giving firefighters an opportunity for better suppression efforts. Current size up is 1.8 acres. @dcsheriff has made eight bucket drops so far and they are still at it! Firefighters will maintain a presence on the fire throughout the night to ensure there are no flare ups. #COFire @ElkCreekFire
