#WhiteHawkFire: Wildland Fire near White Hawk Trail, Conifer

9pm final evening update unless conditions change:

Fire is at 1.8 acres, lightning caused. Terrain is very steep and challenging.

There is fire line constructed around all of the fire.

All resources pulled back from the fire line at 730pm for safety, as another storm cell moved in. There is active rain on the fire area.

There may be smoke and flame visible through the night. Resources will be monitoring the fire all night.

Firefighters will be out on the fire in the morning with the goal of containment by the end of the day.

7-23-25 Morning Update for the #WhiteHawkFire:

The fire remains at 1.8 acres. Fire moderated overnight, with crews monitoring through the night. Firefighters and staff from @elkcreekfire, Conifer Fire, @jeffcoopenspace and @jeffcosheriffco are out at the White Hawk Fire this morning. Crews are removing branches and fuel from the area and mopping-up along the fire line (extinguishing or removing burning and hazardous material within or close to the fire’s edge).

Smoke and some flame could still be visible from the interior of the fire today. More thunderstorms and lightning are expected in the area again today. Firefighter and community safety will remain our number one priority.

Per Jeffco Open Space, CO, Reynolds Park is closed until further notice due to fire operations.

Reynolds Park has now opened following active fire operations.

7-23-25 Evening Update for the #WhiteHawkFire:

The White Hawk Fire is 100% contained.

After more accurate mapping, there was a reduction of acreage to approximately 1 acre.

Today, firefighters from @elkcreekfire, Conifer Fire, @jeffcoopenspace, @U.S. Forest Service - PSICC National Forest, and @jeffcosheriffco continued suppressing the fire, achieving 100% containment in the early afternoon, prior to more storms moving in.

Crews will return to check on the fire tomorrow, and the fire will be monitored over the coming days.

Unless there are significant changes, this will be the last update on the White Hawk Fire.
