From Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office 4min ago: JCSO at Staunton State Park on scene of a stabbing. Suspect fled the scene on foot. Suspect described as a white male 6’0, 200lbs, grey shirt and blue jeans. PIO enroute, media staging pending.
Update from Jeffco Sheriff 10:37am: UPDATE: Suspect is in his early 30’s with brown hair. If you see something, please call 911. Consider this person dangerous.
Jeffco Sheriff's Office 4:54pm: JCSO has lifted the shelter-in-place order for the immediate area of Staunton State Park. We have reason to believe this was a targeted attack and there is no ongoing threat to the community. Residents are allowed to return home.
The two persons of interest have been cleared and are not involved today’s incident.
