There’s an accident on Hwy 285 northbound just past Shaffer’s Crossing/S Elk Creek Rd. Elk Creek Fire has arrived and CSP is en route. Assessing two possibly three patients.
Travelers report an earlier semi was stopped in the right lane just past the curve where it was hard to see them until too late. Another vehicle has now hit that vehicle or something else and is blocking the left lane.
Traffic is currently getting through by weaving between the vehicles involved and the debris field, but first responders will try to move vehicles to open one dedicated lane.
Please be careful going through there and expect delays.
The 2nd vehicle involved has been moved to the right lane so traffic can slowly get by using the left lane. Please be careful of everyone on scene as you drive through.
