Accident Hwy 285 at Jubilee Trail, reported head-on collision. Smoke coming from one vehicle, may be trapped parties, air bags have deployed. Elk Creek Fire en route, requesting mutual aid from Platte Canyon and Conifer Fire West.

The highway will likely be closed.

Elk Creek medic has arrived on scene, two vehicles confirmed, 2 patients so far. Putting airborne on standby.

Standing down all units not on scene and Flight For Life. Transporting one patient via ambulance. The highway is currently closed both directions.

Elk Creek Fire is turning command of the scene over to law enforcement and clearing the scene to return to the station. No word yet on removal of the vehicles and reopening of the highway.

Per CDOT 11:38am: Roadway reopened to traffic US 285 in both directions at Jubilee Trail (7 miles south of Aspen Park) at Mile Point 230.
