#PinonFire: vegetation fire on Pinon Rd in Bailey

From Platte Canyon Fire:

PCFPD crews are currently on scene of confirmed brush fire.
Fire name: Pinon fire
Location: Pinon rd
Initial size-up- approx 1/2 acre
Fuels- grasses

Pls avoid the area, a precautionary code-red could be sent out.

Update; confirmed 2nd fire off of 43/Vigilante.

We have another smoke report off of County rd 43, we have crews enroute to this incident as well.


Elk Creek Fire is en route to provide mutual aid.

In Evergreen, trees keep falling in Brook Forest Estates and have blocked crews from getting out.

From Park County Sheriff's Office: There are two confirmed fires in the Bailey area. Fire one is off of Vigilante Ave in Deer Creek Valley Ranchos. It is one acre in size with progression stopped. However, the fire is not contained.

Fire two is off of Pinon Road in Burland Ranches. This fire is currently in the mop-up stage.
Please refrain from both areas while crews work  diligently to stop any growth.
We will update this post as soon as we know further.

Platte Canyon Fire Update 3-
Pinon fire contained, it'll remain in monitor status with personal on scene for now.
Vigilante fire- crews continuing to mop-up the fire.
Pre-evacs are being lifted for both fires.

Platte Canyon Fire Update 4-
Vigilante Fire is contained, it will also remain in monitor status with personal remaining on scene for now.
Pinon fire- will remain in monitor status, all crews have been released. PCFPD crews will continue to check on the fire at least throughout the evening.
