Vehicle fire: I-70 WB at MM 255 (Genesee)

Fully involved vehicle fire on I-70 WB at MM 255 (Genesee) that spread to wildland. Two lanes of traffic are closed.

Update: the wildland spread has been contained and is in mop up.

All fire is out, working on mop up.

From Jefferson County Sheriff's Office 2:15pm:
Van on fire westbound I-70 around mile marker 255, in between Lookout Mountain and Genesee. The number 2 and 3 lanes are closed, and traffic is backed up about a mile. The fire began to spread, but firefighters were able to contain it. Avoid the area for the next few hours if you can. Genesee Fire Rescue
