From NWS Boulder: Localized heavy rainfall of 1.5-3.5" in the Evergreen area has prompted rapid rises along Bear Creek in Jefferson County, with reports of damaged bridges. A Flood Warning is in effect through 5:45 AM, and may be extended if water levels continue to rise or remain high.
Avoid low water crossings and heed any road closures. Be particularly cautious if driving in or near canyons in the Evergeen, Kittredge, Idledale, and Morrison areas this morning.
From Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: “Our partners at Evergreen Fire/Rescue are asking Kittridge residents to be aware of heavy debris on HWY 74 all the way from Evergreen. Particularly, Troublesome Gulch Rd and HWY 74 were heavily impacted. The roads are open, but please proceed with caution.”
Be careful later this morning when you head out for work on any of our roads as the storm likely impacted more than just 74.
