Vegetation fire: Hwy 74 and Kerr Gulch Rd, Evergreen

Evergreen Fire has responded to a 20’ x 30’ vegetation fire at Evergreen Pkwy and Kerr Gulch Rd. Fire is moving up the hill. Incoming apparatus requested to stage in the 1400 block of Kerr Gulch Rd.

Please avoid the area to keep it clear for responding apparatus.

Getting water on the fire.

From Evergreen Fire 1:41pm: EFR is on scene of a small wildfire in the 1400 Block of Kerr Gulch Road. Firefighters are on scene, have put a scratch line around the 30’x30’ fire, and are spraying water. Smoke is visible from Evergreen Parkway.

Crews have 100% containment on the fire.

Fire has closed the incident. They will be checking on the fire for the next 72 hours to ensure it remains out.

The #KerrGulchFire, which EFR firefighters contained to a tenth of an acre, is now out. We are grateful for the residents and motorists who called 911 to report the smoke, and to Jeffcom 911 and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies for their assistance.
