The future of Wellington Lake remains unclear in the wake of a Jefferson County decision that Wellington Reservoir Co., which owns the lake, can only use it for recreation for youth groups, scouting groups and its own employees, but not for the general public. Details in this week's Flume.
I think it is a shame that the Lake will probably not be opening for camping.
BUT they should have gotten permits and the land rezoned for camping years ago.
They didn't follow the regulations or the zoning for what 40 or more years.They got what any of us would have gotten if we would have been found out after all those years.
