The march of mountain pine beetles into Park County from Summit County has continued, and it has led to a proposal by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to thin two stands of lodgepole pine trees totaling about 70 acres about a half mile southwest of Fairplay. The BLM is seeking public comment on the proposal. Details in this week's Flume.
