Della Powell takes plea deal in theft case - The Flume

Della Powell, the former caretaker of Wellington Lake, pleaded guilty on June 3 to one count of class 4 felony theft as part of a plea bargain that resulted in her other charges being dropped. Details in this week's Flume.

Happy to see that the ordeal is over, I like Della and Mike, seems like a fair result.

This means she was not innocent as she previously stated.

People take the easy way sometimes, It is a "legal" system not a "fairness" system, grow up. I have no knowledge of any details , they seem good people to me.

good people do bad things, she has to pay restitution. Pleading guilty and paying restitution is not the acts of an innocent person. Grow up.

Sometimes it is less expensive to just give in and not fight the system.
Have you ever tried to fight a county attorney? They have all the time and money on their side.

Sometimes good people are just good people and just give up.
