The number of Park County employees declined 12 percent in 2010 compared with 2009, to 217.4 from 246. In addition, the county's fund balances, which are like savings, are expected to drop by nearly a third in 2011 versus 2010, to about $10 million at the end of 2011, as money is used in part for the new communications building and Road and Bridge projects. Details in this week's Flume.

1.) 12% layoff
2.) $1.0 million shift of funds to Capital Expenditures
3.) $2.6 million acquisition of land and other lease assets

What big project is coming up that the county values over the citizens and employees?
