The Platte Canyon Little League seniors baseball team won the state championship Sunday by defeating Monument 16-6 at the Mission Viejo field, which is part of Cherry Creek Little League in metro Denver. The win came after the Platte Canyon seniors beat a team from the Denver-based Catholic Youth Recreation Association 12-6 on Friday in the state tournament.
