A second recovery attempt will not be made for a body that was discovered in the heart of the Lost Creek Wilderness on Aug. 20 by Park County Search and Rescue.
In the first attempt, Park County Coroner Dave Kintz Jr. and Search and Rescue crews from Park and Douglas counties made a treacherous 24-mile hike into a remote area of the forest east of Jefferson on Aug. 21.
