The Park County Historical Society will be having dinner (chili and hot dogs) and a History Presentation Saturday, September 24 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Platte Canyon Community Center in Shawnee. The cost for the evening is $5.00 per person. Please join us!

This event was a huge success! Our speaker and author, Christie Wright, did a presentation on "Murders in the Platte Canyon Area". Great job Christie!! The Park County Historical Society is having a pot luck dinner celebrating the actual birthday of Park County which is Tuesday November 1st...and again at the Platte Canyon Community Center. To accommodate those who have jobs, the hours will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. We're asking folks to bring an entree. Those who don't bring something will be charged $5.00.
We hope to see more of you November 1st at our pot luck and fundraiser!
