A wrongful death lawsuit filed by Bailey resident Katy Bixler over the death of her husband, Joe Bixler, will not go to trial, which had been set to begin Sept. 27. Morrison resident Vera Carucci, 99, was found guilty on July 19 of careless driving causing an injury or death, a misdemeanor, in connection with the accident that killed Joe Bixler, who was riding a motorcycle.
