The annual Spirit Run at Deer Creek Elementary School in Bailey, sponsored by the PTA, raised $8,600 this year. The run, on Sept. 30, beat the PTA goal of $8,000, and that resulted in a prize of Principal Paul Sandos dressing as SpongeBob SquarePants and Dean Kay Genschorck dressing as Patrick Star, SpongeBob's friend.
