One trillion cubic feet of natural gas may under the surface of South Park, according to a presentation by a representative from El Paso E&P Co. LP at the South Park Symposium on June 26-27 in Fairplay. El Paso is partnering with a company that paid about $1 million in May for mineral leases on Bureau of Land Management acreage in Park County north of Hartsel. Details in this week's Flume.
