The winter storm that is dumping snow with particular vengeance in northeastern Park County and the metro Denver area will continue through the day on Friday and taper off during the day on Saturday.
Chad Gimmestad, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Boulder office, said forecasts predicted a lot of snow from the storm.
"Northeastern Park County and Jefferson County are going to get dumped on," he said Friday morning.
