"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

• Location, Thrift Store, Silent Auction - Donate Items, Attend & Bid

Becky Brown- new principal @ West Jefferson Middle School, Conifer area schools update
• CSAP changing to TCAP. Scores rising at WJeff
• Growth scores greater academic growth than any other area students
• Every teacher teaching writing, focus on that b/c those scores were lowest
• Many electives offered, as well as after-school activities
• Waste water pipeline problem. Installing network of lift stations & sewer pipelines from high school. 40% of cost came from a grant, $2.3M total
• It is a private line, everything is finished, not quite working properly, but still tweaking to bring to 100% functionality

Mike Rogers - Elk Creek Fire District
• New chief selection - 107 applications, phone interviews on 10, brought in 4 for face-to-face, narrowed to 2 finalists. Search committee unanimously offered job to Bill McLoughlin, today was his first day on the job.

Martie Whitmore, lawyer - Aspen Park Metropolitan District, supplies water to, and treats waste water from King Soopers/Aspen Park Metro District
• Minor amendment submitted to allow a portion of it's effluent to be directly discharged to stream/
• reason - treats water to above standards, parameters more stringent so water is above-standard clean. Most of effluent goes to ex-filtration gallery, which eventually goes back to stream. It is handling most, but not all, of the effluent so this amendment would make official the current situation
• Working with Dept of Health to finalize requirements/controls

Peter Bartman - Conifer Development List/Updates
1.) Compiled from planning and zoning dept. - see attached sheets at bottom of post

2.) Conifer Area Council - About Community. Building more trails!
Next goal - build a link from King Soopers side to other side of highway/Meyer Ranch Open Space Park
Applied for a grant from jeffCo Open Space, asked for $20K, received $40K! They requested a maintenance plan to be submitted- local Boy Scout Troop will maintain.
Slated to begin construction this summer
