Conifer Area Council is a nonpolitical organization that does not support or oppose any development, issue, political agenda, individual person or business.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Meeting Notes from the Conifer Town Hall Meeting last night. Not comprehensive, but tried to get as much as possible. There is a short video of a powerpoint presentation made

• Many electives offered, as well as after-school activities
• Waste water pipeline problem. Installing network of lift stations & sewer pipelines from high school. 40% of cost came from a grant, $2.3M total
• It is a private line, everything is finished, not quite working properly, but still tweaking to bring to 100% functionality
Mike Rogers - Elk Creek Fire District
• New chief selection - 107 applications, phone interviews on 10, brought in 4 for face-to-face, narrowed to 2 finalists. Search committee unanimously offered job to Bill McLoughlin, today was his first day on the job.
Martie Whitmore, lawyer - Aspen Park Metropolitan District, supplies water to, and treats waste water from King Soopers/Aspen Park Metro District
• Minor amendment submitted to allow a portion of it's effluent to be directly discharged to stream/
• reason - treats water to above standards, parameters more stringent so water is above-standard clean. Most of effluent goes to ex-filtration gallery, which eventually goes back to stream. It is handling most, but not all, of the effluent so this amendment would make official the current situation
• Working with Dept of Health to finalize requirements/controls
