Platte school board hears of more budget cuts - The Flume

Platte Canyon School District Superintendent Jim Walpole is projecting, with respect to preliminary numbers for the 2012-2013 school year, that Deer Creek Elementary will need to cut $195,800 from its budget, Fitzsimmons Middle School will need to cut $37,000 from its budget, and Platte Canyon High School will need to cut $326,000 from its budget. The central office budget is expected to be cut by $27,000, and the transportation budget is expected to be cut by $142,000. Details in this week's Flume.
