The Lower North Fork Fire, burning southeast of Conifer in Jefferson County, was 100- percent contained as of 5 p.m. Monday, and the search for a missing woman, Ann Appel, has been suspended following the discovery of human remains in her home, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
