This school year the Bailey-based Platte Canyon School District has adjusted to fewer students, fewer employees and fewer dollars, according to Superintendent Jim Walpole in a presentation to the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce on April 10. (For the full PowerPoint presentation, see the attachment to the article at theflume.com.)
To summarize, this school year the district has 103 fewer students, about $1 million less in money to spend and 18 fewer teachers. Details at http://www.theflume.com and in this week's Flume.
