On Saturday, April 28th, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, the Town of Morrison will participate in the DEA's Denver Field Division "National Take Back Prescription Drug Day." Officer's of the MPD will be at the Police Station to collect your expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for safe destruction by the Denver Division of the DEA.
You don't even have to get out of your car! A drive-up, drop-off system will be provided for your convenience.
This programs is anonymous - proof of your identity is not required.
Controlled, non-controlled and over the counter substances will be collected. You may dispose of medication in its original container, or by removing the medication from the container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box. If an original container is submitted, remove any identifying information from the prescription label.
Liquid products such as cough syrup should be tightly sealed in its original container to prevent leakage.
We CANNOT ACCEPT the following:
IV solutions
Injectables
Sharps and syringes
Chemotherapy or radioactive substances
Mercury or other thermometers
Oxygen containers
Pressurized containers
Any illicit drugs such as marijuana or amphetamines
