A new principal has been chosen for Fitzsimmons Middle School, and a proposed Platte Canyon School District budget, with cuts of about $1.2 million, or 8.2 percent, has been submitted to the board of education.
The board meeting on May 14 also dealt with a presentation of results of third-grade reading tests under TCAP (Transitional Colorado Assessment Program) and with a discussion of the purchase of iPads for teachers. Details in this week's Flume.
