Fired deputies charged in keg shooting - The Flume

Charges were filed on May 31 against the two former Park County Sheriff’s deputies and one former reserve deputy who were terminated following an investigation into the shooting of a weapon at a chain securing a beer keg, and the keg itself, during an early-April teenagers’ party near Lake George.
The charges come after the District Attorney’s Office reviewed a Teller County investigation into the conduct of the Park County deputies.
Glenn Hardey, Richard Sonnenberg and Steve Materkowski are each facing misdemeanor counts of prohibited use of a weapon and reckless endangerment and a petty offense of second-degree official misconduct. Details in this week's Flume.
