Please note the following three upcoming community events:
1. THIS SATURDAY, August 25 2nd Annual Conifer Blues Festival at The Historic Meyer Ranch:
SATURDAY, August 25: The 2nd Annual CONIFER BLUES FEST from 1:00 to 7:00 pm in the meadow behind the historic Midway House at Meyer Ranch (Aspen Park).
This is hosted by Conifer Concerts, and benefits The “I Love U Guys” Foundation and The Lower North Fork Fire Disaster Relief fund through Mountain Resource Center.
Catfish Cray Blues Band, The Once Removed Band and Chicago’s legendary Siegel-Schwall Band will rock the meadow! Free parking. Chairs, blankets and bottled water are okay to bring.

2. Town Hall Meeting, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 7 PM, - SAVE THE DATE – DETAILS FORTHCOMING SOON

3. Fall Clean Up Recycling Festival, Saturday, September 22, 2012 (see attached flyer for details, including charges)
9 AM til 3 PM - Evergreen Country Day School at El Rancho Town Center.
The following items are acceptable; some have charges – see attached flyer:
~ electronic devices – see attached for details including prices
~ household batteries ($2.00 per pound) and latex paint ($1.00 per can - must be in the original container - intermixed colors not acceptable)
~ orthopedic devices (crutches, leg braces and wheelchairs)
~ bicycles and metals including appliances, but no refrigerators or items containing gases or mercury
~ Compact fluorescent light bulbs, or CFLs
~ skis, but no ski boots
~ child car seats
~ paper for shredding,
~ #6 Styrofoam blocks; no food containers, bubble-wrap or peanuts
~ clothes and shoes
~ tires - the first 800 of the day collected are free, then $1.00 each; no commercial tires
Don’t forget EDS Waste Solutions (

) accepts at their transfer station (5801 Hwy 73, Evergreen) FREE single stream recycling (plastic, paper, aluminum, glass bottles, flattened cardboard and metals).
EDS also accepts for a charge Electronic Waste, Metals, Concrete, Auto Parts, Yard Waste, Construction Debris, Appliances and much more. Call for charges and details 303.278.8600.
