Hartsel-area rancher Vern Wagner, 80, has seen a lot of hardship in the last few years, but the latest blows have been particularly rough – a foreclosure order on his ranch and home after a three-day trial, and a heart attack suffered by his 81-year-old wife, Veyone Wagner, after the conclusion of the trial.
Wagner has vowed to appeal the Oct. 4 order granting the foreclosure on his ranch south of Fairplay by a former business partner.
