Homeschool Dance Days at Peak Academy of Dance

Each month Peak Academy of Dance hosts a Homeschool Dance Day .

This year we are focusing on Cultural Dance in our series "Seasons of the World"

Dance Days are only $5 per child (1 free adult per family). Each month we learn about the history of a different cultural dance and the movement associated with that type of dancing. While these are most suitable for ages 5+, younger siblings are welcome to attend at no charge and give it a try. Adults are encouraged to participate as well.

Today we are excited to have our December Homeschool Dance Day - Africa 12:30-2:30pm at Peak Academy of Dance.

We are excited to have Courtney Smith as our African Dance 'expert'. She will be teaching some West African dancing in the first part of the class. The second half will involve taking an African story and turning it into a dance.

Please bring along any rhythm or African instruments you have. We can incorporate these throughout the workshop.

Also, be sure to wear clothing that you can move in and bring $5 per child in either cash or check form.
