Park County’s Board of County Commissioners approved an amended service plan and name change for Indian Mountain Recreation and Parks District on Dec. 13.
The new name is Indian Mountain Metropolitan District. Services in the new plan include park, recreation and water services. To manage any water services, the district needed to become a metropolitan district instead of a recreation and parks district.
Haas said the main reason water services were added is to preserve the opportunity to buy and manage the water augmentation plan for the subdivision.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
