285 Tourism: 2012 Review, 2013 Goals

We accomplished a ton last year, but we've got a ways to go to help continue supporting our local economy by increasing tourism. If you are interested in volunteering, either at booths or distributing brochures/maps, creating graphics, etc we'd love to have you! Wasnt there going to be an online app that went with the map? Or something similar?

Yes, unfortunately, it got shoved down in our list of priorities right after we got the Foothill Adventure Map out with all of the activities and events that we started planning/attending in the summer and no one had time to get back to completing it. It's not listed on our 2013 goals, but we plan on revamping what was initially submitted to the company creating it for us and making that available with the new version that will be coming out this year. Thanks for asking!

We're also going to be involved in modifying the Chamber Directory to be a little more user friendly, for both residents and visitors. Make it more of a Visitor's Guide, so to speak. If anyone would like to submit content - local places to hike, fish, snowshoe, etc. Write up some history, or things to know about living in the mountains, we'd be grateful beyond belief!
