Schools in the Bailey-based Platte Canyon School District are on a delayed start Tuesday morning, according to a recorded message sent via telephone at about 6 a.m. Tuesday. Said the message: "Due to transportation issues, the district will be running on a delayed-start schedule today, Tuesday, January 15th. Platte Canyon High School and Fitzsimmons Middle School will begin classes at 9 a.m. Deer Creek Elementary School will begin classes at 10 a.m."
