A single-vehicle crash of a semitrailer from Oregon 10 miles north of Fairplay on U.S. 285 at about 2:20 p.m. Thursday caused the closure of U.S. 285 in both directions, said Trooper Josh Lewis of the Colorado State Patrol.
Lewis, speaking to The Flume at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, said the highway was still closed at that time and he didn’t know when it would be reopened.
