2013 Plan for Action
During our January meeting we discussed the need to create an agenda for action. The discussion focused on setting clear and actionable goals that promote liberty. A number of ideas were discussed, but the thrust of this was that the 285 Corridor Tea Party needs to enable activists. While education and information are invaluable, education doesn't get things done. Continuing in that vein, we will discuss topics and strategies for bringing about change. Also, things are coming together quickly, but if some details can be confirmed, we hope to announce the first 285 Corridor Activist meeting. Start today if you want to turn the tide in 2014!
This is a month of tremendous 2nd Amendment activity - none of it good! If you believe the 2nd Amendment is an essential anchor for securing our Constitutional rights, then please join us as Joe Neville, Lobbyist for Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO) provides an update on the state of affairs at the Capitol and provides an insiders perspective on the challenges at hand.
Principles of Liberty (Legislative Accountability)
Are you looking for a quick way to understand how legislators and pending legislation stacks up against the our commonly-held principles? Former Colorado Senator Tim Neville will discuss a new web site called Principles of Liberty that rates Colorado legislators and legislation based on the Core Principles of American liberty. He'll explain how the site works and how you can use it to quickly assess what really happens when politicians don't think we're watching.
