Park County Human Services and some local food pantries have received more requests for assistance in 2012 than in 2011.
For Human Services, the caseload at the end of 2012 was 612, which was a 23 percent increase from the 499 at the end of 2011 and a 61 percent increase from the 381 at the end of 2009. Details in this week's Flume.
