Snow is on the way to Park County.
The National Weather Service is predicting 8-12 inches of snow in the mountain areas of Park County, described as Bailey and Alma, and between 4-8 inches of snow in the lower areas, described as South Park and southeastern Park County, from the snowstorm bearing down on Colorado, according to Bernie Meier, a meteorologist with the Boulder office of the National Weather Service.
The storm is expected to arrive Friday night and last all day Saturday before it tapers off Saturday night.
