The fire danger this summer could be high, but it isn’t expected to be as high as it was last summer.
Mike Hessler, the fire management officer for the U.S. Forest Service South Park Ranger District, said increased snowfall in March will help push back the fire danger, but he expects it to come eventually. Details in this week's Flume.

You said it Fred. Unfortunately as we have seen in the past, it is not up to nature, but depends on the common sense of the folks who live and visit our area. Cutting tall grass and mitigation is everyones' responsibility.
