Courage Walk
The Annual Courage Walk for Victims' Rights will be held April 20th, 2013
Each spring, victim advocates from the First Judicial District gather for the annual Courage Walk.
The Courage Walk coincides with National Crime Victims' Rights Week. National Crime Victims' Rights Week recognizes the devastating impact of crime on victims and communities. The courage walk is a time to honor the strength and courage of survivors we have come to know in the aftermath of crime. It is also a time to speak in unison for victims' rights and services, today and in the future.
Read "Walking in Remembrance," an essay by the family of a Jeffco murder victim.
The 2013 event will be the 20th annual walk.
The walk is approximately one mile long and is wheelchair accessible. The walkers will meet at the DA's office. Registration begins at 10 a.m., accompanied by a free continental breakfast. The walk begins at 11 a.m. The one-half-mile walk is wheelchair accessible and dogs on leashes are welcome
