Park County population drops again

New numbers released by the U.S. Census Bureau in April show that Park County’s population dropped from 2011 to 2012, making it the fourth straight year the Census Bureau has shown county population declines. Details in this week's Flume.

This does not surprise me at all. Think about it... Bailey is all of a mile long and Fairplay is the armpit of CO if you ask me. So many prettier places in CO that one can live and with so much more to offer than Park County

It does seem after you pass Bailey, more businesses have closed than opened.
Maybe people are also tiring of commuting or worrying about their homes burning down every summer.
