Kathy Boyce, director of budget and finance for Park County, has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and will be leaving her position with the county and relocating to Arizona.
ALS affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord and is known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease after the Yankees baseball player who had it. Details in this week's Flume.
